The United States Men’s National Team met for an international friendly with Mexico in Arizona on Thursday night, giving both countries a chance to get an early look at their squads prior to this summer’s World Cup.
Tied at 2-2 in the 85th minute, Eddie Johnson and the United States had what would have been the go-ahead goal disallowed after Johnson was called offsides before putting the ball into the net. Instead, the game ended in a 2-2 draw.
It was extremely close but it looked like Johnson held the line and managed to stay onsides on the play, at least in my eyes. The USMNT manager, Jürgen Klinsmann, appeared to agree.
