Is anyone really surprised by this?
Nazi is a term that is thrown around the internet whenever there’s a disagreement over ANYTHING. There’s even an internet adage about the term’s usage called Godwin’s Law: “As an online discussion grows longer, the probability of a comparison involving Nazis or Hitler approaches 1.”
Disagreement over Coke or Pepsi? NAZI. Disagreement over proper driving route to a destination? NAZI. Disagreement over favorite hamburger joint? ZOMBIE-NAZI.
And of course, when America is facing Germany in the World Cup, guess what’s going to happen. The term Nazi will be thrown around more times than there will be goals scored in the World Cup.
