As much as we like to complain about rules, regulations and everything else that takes the fun out of life, there’s something to be said for building codes and infrastructure that keep us safe from, oh, collapsed buildings, shoddy construction work and — in the case of Maracana Stadium in Brazil — this Stairway from Hell. The above video was shot before the Argentina-Bosnia World Cup match on Sunday, and it looks like a harrowing climb, leading to inevitable death.
So, here’s a tip: If you’re planning on attending a soccer match there during this World Cup (or ever in the future), may we suggest using a different entrance.
