The Los Angeles Galaxy won the MLS Cup title on Sunday afternoon, beating the New England Revolution 2-1 in extra time. Revolution defender A.J. Soares didn’t win any sportmanship awards in the process, as evidenced by this hilarious moment at the very end of the game.
After a collision with Galaxy goalkeeper Jaime Penedo in the game’s final minute, Soares walked over to Penedo, who appeared to suffering from some leg pain, and helped him up. Nice little display of respect, right?
Wrong.
Soares quickly changed his mind and decided to toss Penedo to the ground. I guess if you can’t beat ’em, toss ’em?
