David Beckham and his new club Paris Saint-Germain set out to have a nice parade and celebration in the streets of Paris, however it devolved quite quickly. The celebrations at the Trocadero square turned violent when the police showed up to send the large crowds home. It was the first time in 19 years that PSG had won a domestic title.
