Lionel Messi’s Instagram account has caused some soccer fans to freak out because Messi (or whoever runs his Instagram) decided to start following the official Chelsea Instagram account as well as the Instagram accounts of Chelsea players Felipe Luis, Cesc Fabregas and Thibaut Courtois.

Honestly, most likely this means nothing. Messi’s account is now following a football club on Instagram. It’s not like he’s touring the Chelsea facilities and taking interviews in Chelsea gear. A quick perusal of Messi’s Instagram also reveals that the account follows Beyonce and Floyd Mayweather. I highly doubt that Lionel Messi is preparing to go on tour with Beyonce or quit soccer for boxing either.
