It seems like Christmas has come early and often for fans of inexplicable sports gaffes — specifically, botched “freebies”. First, there was Brian Okam’s horrific free throw attempt earlier in December. Now, we have a contender for “Worst Free Kick Ever”, courtesy of goalkeeper Evanildo Rodrigues, who plays for El Jaish SC of the Qatar Stars League. There’s nothing “star-like” about this choke job though, as Rodrigues lines up for a simple free kick and…well…just watch.
It might have been the all-time worst, if not for this comedy of errors.
