You probably know Tim Wiese as the goalkeeper who played for the German national team during the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, but you might soon know him as Tim Wiese: WWE wrestler.
The former keeper took up bodybuilding after getting cut from German club 1899 Hoffenheim in January, and he’s gone through quite the rapid transformation since then:
Wiese’s new physique has caught the attention of the WWE, which has inquired about signing the former soccer star. He’s not ruling it out either, saying “I will listen. I don’t shit my pants. Why should I immediately say no? Wrestling is very popular, especially in the [United] States. I will go through the enquiry with my agent next week.”
A soccer player making the transition to professional wrestler is about as unlikely a switch as you could imagine, but – from the looks of things – Wiese appears to be qualified.
