Soccer bicycle kicks are among the most ballerific plays in all of sports, but turns out they’re not very cool if you mess it up. Paris Saint-Germain forward Edinson Cavani found himself on the losing end of a bicycle kick during their Champions League Round of 16 match with Chelsea on Tuesday.
The Uruguayan striker managed to score his club’s only goal in the 1-1 match but also managed to botch what would have been an incredible bicycle kick. It seems a tad idiotic to mock someone with the talent level of Cavani but it still remains an amusing play:
It would have been an unreal play if Cavani managed to connect and give them the lead in the closing minutes, but was instead left lying helplessly on the ground after a valiant effort.
