Demba Ba helped Chelsea advance past Manchester United in the FA Cup quarterfinal replay on Monday after he netted a sensational volley to give the Blues the 1-0 victory.
The goal came in the 48th minute after Juan Mata played a well-placed ball over the top of the defense. Ba got in behind Rio Ferdinand and sent home the volley in spectacular fashion. United keeper David de Gea could only watch in awe as the ball curled into the back of the net.
Chelsea will now face Manchester City on April 14 in hopes of getting one step closer to a fifth FA Cup in seven seasons.
