For a pretty boring game, the Greece and Costa Rica clash in the Round of 16 ended in pretty dramatic fashion — in a penalty shootout.
Both teams made their first three shots. But Greece’s fourth shooter couldn’t convert, as Costa Rica’s goalkeeper, Keylor Navas, stopped the shot, diving to his right and striking the rapidly approaching ball away from the net.
Costa Rica ended the game on its next penalty shot.
Navas also saved his team’s life late in extra time.
Amazingly, Costa Rica is going to the quarterfinals of the World Cup. Just wow.
