Soccer players typically catch a lot of flak for not being tough and flopping a lot, but Uruguay’s Álvaro Pereira showed a whole lot of toughness during Thursday’s match against England. Pereira took a brutal knee straight to the head during the second half of play and looked to be knocked unconscious for a few moments before getting up and staying in the game.
Concussions are certainly a controversial topic in sports today so the decision to keep him in the game will probably be questioned. He certainly look like he’s in any condition to play here:
