The Kelce family is taking over the nation. Brothers Travis and Jason have enjoyed stellar NFL careers with the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles respectively. Jason’s wife, Kylie is in the middle of launching a podcast, and Travis’s girlfriend, Taylor Swift, is arguably the biggest music artist in the world.
Jason has retired from football but is still heavily involved in the sport. He works for ESPN as a member of the Monday Night Football broadcast crew, and also co-hosts “New Heights” with Travis, a podcast where the pair regularly discuss the sport they’ve spent most of their lives playing.
It was on this podcast where Kelce took a shot at Taylor Swift’s fanbase.
Comedian Bill Murray was a guest on a recent episode and called his old improv teacher as “one of those ladies that has like cats and everything she wears is purple” Murray joked that those sort of people didn’t really exist anymore.
Kelce took the opportunity to get a joke off at the Swifties’ expense.
“No, they do, they definitely do,” Kelce told Murray. “There’s a lot of them listening to the show right actually.”

Fans reacted to the exchange on social media.
“Jason clocked the purple cat ladies immediately—he knows his audience too well. Bye indeed!” one fan said on Twitter.
“I don’t have cats nor do I wear purple and I feel personally attacked,” a fan added.
“What is this supposed to mean I don’t get it,” another fan added.
It’ll be interesting to see if there’s any fallout from Kelce’s joke.
