Former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce isn’t playing football anymore, but he’s still very much in the limelight. Kelce is a part of ESPN’s Monday Night Football broadcast team and also hosts “New Heights,” a podcast with his brother Travis, who is still playing in the NFL for the Kansas City Chiefs.
Travis has had a public relationship with global music sensation Taylor Swift for over a year, and it was on “New Heights” where Jason recently took a major dig at her fans.
Legendary actor and comedian Bill Murray was a guest on a recent episode of the podcast and his former improv teacher came up in discussion. Murray called his old teacher “one of those ladies that has like cats and everything she wears is purple.”
Murray then said of people like that: “I don’t know if these people exist anymore.”
Jason saw this as the perfect opportunity to take a dig at Swift’s fan base.
“No, they do, they definitely do,” Kelce responded. “There’s a lot of them listening to the show right actually.”

Fans reacted to Kelce’s shot at Swifties on social media.
“I don’t have cats nor do I wear purple and I feel personally attacked,” one fan said on Twitter.
“You realize they are shading Taylor right ?” one fan said of people that were defending Kelce’s comments.
“What is this supposed to mean I don’t get it,” one fan added.
“Jason calling out the purple cat lady hive LIVE ON AIR… the audacity,” one fan added.
It’ll be interesting to see if Swift has anything to say in response to the dig at her fanbase.
