The 2024 Chicago White Sox were a historically bad baseball team. So bad in fact, that the Sox’s 41-121 record broke the MLB record for most losses in a single season.
As one might imagine, the White Sox were the brunt of many a joke, but sometimes they’re also used to make fun of other teams and groups. Most recently they were used on social to take down a political group at a D0nald Trump rally.
Republican vice presidential candidate JD Vance was pictured with Speaker of the House Mike Johnson, Vivek Ramaswamy, and sports reporter Emily Austin. Austin captioned the photo of the group: “Name me a better squad. I’ll wait.”
Unfortunately, Austin set herself up. Someone made a quote tweet and absolutely roasted the group pictured.
“The 2024 Chicago White Sox,” someone said, meaning that even the worst baseball team of all time was better than the group of Republicans.

The tweet garnered over 60 thousands likes on Twitter, but not everyone was pleased about it.
“Man I can’t wait for Trump to win and see all you libs breakdown again. Hopefully you’ll actually leave the country this time like y’all said you would,” one offended person responded on Twitter.
However, most people thought the joke was hilarious.
“This might be the funniest tweet i’ve seen in a while,” one person said.
“I’m conservative but this is funny as hell. Well played,” another person said.
“As a democrat, I thought this was funny. As a baseball fan, I LMAO!” one person added.
It’s a brutal look for the people shown in the photo, maybe Tony Hinchcliffe will come to their defense.
