Former U.S. President Donald Trump has made many claims in the past about just how excellent his skills on the golf course are. But during the presidential debate on Thursday night, Joe Biden called out Trump in the form of a challenge on the course.

In the debate, things went off the rails quickly, with Biden focusing his sights on Trump’s ability to both outdrive him and simply just beat him in a standard golf match.

“You can see he is 6-foot-3” and all of 235 pounds,” said Biden. “Just take a look at what he says he is. Look, I would be happy to have a driving contest with him. I got my handicap down to a six. By the way, I told you before I’m happy to play golf with you if you carry your own bag. You think you can do it?”

Trump immediately offered a rebuttal by calling Biden a liar about his supposed handicap of six.

“That’s the biggest lie that he is a six handicap,” said Trump. “Of all… I’ve seen your swing, I know your swing.”

It’s truly quite bizarre that golf ever even became a topic of discussion in a presidential debate about political matters. But regardless, golf fans took to social media to offer their opinions on who would win in a match.

The chances of these two presidential candidates actually competing against one another in a golf match are obviously quite low. But it sure would be a sight to see if they did…
