The United States Women’s National Team suffered a shocking loss on Sunday when the team fell in the round of 16 to Sweden, marking its earliest exit in its history at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup. And Donald Trump has chosen a pretty surprising person to blame for the loss: current United States President Joe Biden.
Following the team’s loss to Sweden in penalty kicks on Sunday, former United States President Donald Trump wasted no time in criticizing the team on social media where he blamed Joe Biden for their lack of success in a bizarre post on his social network, Truth Social.
“The ‘shocking and totally unexpected’ loss by the U.S. Women’s Soccer Team to Sweden is fully emblematic of what is happening to the our once great Nation under Crooked Joe Biden. Many of our players were openly hostile to America – No other country behaved in such a manner, or even close. WOKE EQUALS FAILURE. Nice shot Megan, the USA is going to Hell!!! MAGA,” Trump said on Truth Social.
It’s worth noting that Trump did not make it clear what he would have done differently that would have allowed the USWNT to have more success at the tournament.
