UFC CEO Dana White recently joined the Pat McAfee Show to laud former president Donald Trump.
Trump survived a botched assassination attempt by Thomas Matthew Crooks, a 20-year-old Pennsylvanian and registered Republican voter.
White heaped praise on Trump for his response to the attempted killing.
“Everybody wants to act like a tough guy, well when the [stuff] goes down, you find out who tough guys are and who tough guys are not,” White told McAfee on Monday, following the botched assassination attempt on Trump. “This guy is the legitimate, ultimate American [expletive] of all time.’
White introduced Trump at the Republican National Convention on Monday night.
“This is the former president and a candidate,” said White.
“Imagine if somebody took a shot at Biden or Obama or Clinton. It’s like, this is our president. If it happened to anybody, any of our presidents, every American on earth should be horrified by this and disgusted and upset and angry.”
The Trump campaign did not immediately respond to the praise. Trump has been a fixture at UFC events in the past, and White is a longtime fan of the former president.
Trump currently leads President Joe Biden in most pertinent polls pertaining to the 2024 presidential election.
