Despite facing 91 felony counts in four jurisdictions across the United States as well as a $250 million civil lawsuit in New York, former United States President Donald Trump leads all polls for the Republican presidential nomination in 2024, and he’s making a major move at a college football game to keep it that way.

Most polls show Donald Trump with a massive lead over his top competitor Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis in the state of Iowa. But that isn’t stopping Trump from pulling out all the stops to ensure a good showing at the polls in the Hawkeye state. Trump is appealing to what they know best in Iowa – college football.

According to college football insider Brett McMurphy of The Action Network, Trump has announced that he will attend this weekend’s college football rivalry showdown between the Iowa Hawkeyes and the Iowa State Cyclones this weekend.

“Former President Donald Trump will attend Saturday’s Iowa at Iowa State game,” McMurphy wrote on Twitter.

It’s a pretty interesting announcement for the college football world and the world of politics, and the news led to plenty of interest on social media as a result.

It will certainly be interesting to see what sort of reception the former president receives.
