Former American president Donald Trump created headlines last month when he claimed to shot a round of 67 on the links while winning the “Senior Club Championship” at his golf resort in Bedminster, New Jersey.
The championship is for golfers of at least 50 years of age.
“I am pleased to report, for those that care, that I just won the Senior Club Championship (must be over 50 years old!) at Bedminster (Trump National Golf Club), shooting a round of 67,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
“Now, some people will think that sounds low, but there is no hanky/lanky. Many people watch, plus I am surrounded by Secret Service Agents. Not much you can do even if you wanted to, and I don’t. For some reason, I am just a good golfer/athlete—I have won many Club Championships, and it is always a great honor!”
The athletic feat, which Trump offered with no supporting evidence other than his word, apparently caught the attention of Caitlyn Jenner.
Jenner won a gold medal in the 1976 Olympics as a decathlete before coming out as a transgender.
Jenner recently took to X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, to laud the athleticism of Trump, saying she was writing from “one elite athlete to another.”

The world was quick to react to the controversial post by Jenner.
“No wonder your children don’t speak to [you],” one poster wrote.
“Parody” declared another.
“Love you both with the Gold,” Ramona Caldwell posted.
“GOP hates trans people. You’re pathetic,” wrote one yuser.
“Thank you for your selfless effort,” wrote another.
