UFC President Dana White and former U.S. President Donald Trump have notably formed a very close relationship over the years. And similarly to the 2016 presidential election, Trump will have White’s public support once again.
The relationship between Trump and White has been as much about business as it has been about friendship. Trump was notably one of the first big backers of the UFC as the company was on the come-up in the early 2000s, allowing the fight promotion to host events at the Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
Not only that, but Trump has continuously made public appearances at UFC events over the years. Most recently, he was in attendance sitting next to White at UFC 303.
In recent years, White has tried his best to return the favor for the former president, speaking on Trump’s behalf at the 2016 and 2020 Republican conventions.
According to the Wall Street Journal, White will do so again for Trump at the 2024 Republican convention in Milwaukee next month.
White obviously has a pretty big name nowadays in both the national public eye and in the sports world. So having someone like White speak on Trump’s behalf will clearly help as Trump looks to secure the sports fan demographic in the upcoming 2024 election.
