Former Boston Red Sox star pitcher Curt Schilling is very open about his conservative Republican political views, but this week, Schilling had a pretty brutal message for his own party.
During an appearance on Fox News this week, Curt Schilling absolutely blasted the Republican party – referencing a number of prominent Republicans by name – for their passive approach.
“The fact of the matter is, I’m tired of listening to Jim Jordan, and Matt Gaetz, and Dan Crenshaw and all these people just talk. Talk – that’s all they’re doing. They’re talking,” Schilling told Fox News. “We’re up against a side and a force that doesn’t play by the rules and refuses to play by the rules.”
As an example of what he believes is Democrats refusing to “play by the rules,” Schilling mentioned the indictment of former United States President Donald Trump, who is facing 37 different federal charges.
“Look no further than the constitutional legal thing that’s going on with former President [Donald] Trump. And we’re not doing anything about it,” Schilling said. “We’re talking about it, and we get excited and we get emotional – that’s it.”
Schilling then went on to make a bold claim about Democrats, claiming they “break the law” to further their agenda and that Republicans are sitting idly by as they “gut” the United States.
“They break the law, they do the things they need to do to ensure their agenda is driven forward,” Schilling said. “And we’re watching them gut our nation from the inside out.”
