It sounds like reality star and former Olympic gold medalist Caitlyn Jenner is considering running for Governor of California.
According to a report from Asher Notheis of The Washington Examiner, Caitlyn Jenner is “fielding calls” from individuals who would like to see her run for Governor of California in 2026 – and it sounds like she hasn’t ruled it out as a possibility.
“A person with inside knowledge of Jenner’s potential political aspirations confirmed to the Washington Examiner on the basis of anonymity that the former Olympian is fielding calls from people who want to see this gubernatorial run happen and that Jenner is taking these calls seriously,” Notheis wrote this week.
In a series of posts on social media, Jenner seemed to entertain the possibility of a gubernatorial run.
“MAKE CA GREAT AGAIN,” she said in a post on X, the social media website that was formerly known as Twitter.
Jenner confirmed the rather shocking news that she has received calls from people who are pushing her toward running.
“Should we do it again?” Jenner wrote in a follow-up post. “Have been getting a lot of calls with a lot of strong opinions. Newscum is out in 2026.”
Vice President Kamala Harris is pondering the next steps of her political career after losing to Donald Trump in the 2024 presidential election. There’s a possibility that Harris could seek to become the next governor of California, but that does not seem to be deterring Jenner from running against her.
“If I ran, and it was ultimately against Harris, I would destroy her,” Jenner added.
Before her transition, Jenner – then known as Bruce Jenner – won the gold medal in the men’s decathlon at the 1976 Olympic Games.
Since then, Jenner emerged as a reality star on the show Keeping Up With the Kardashians before ultimately transitioning and going by the new name Caitlyn in 2015.
As for her political views, Jenner is strongly conservative and has supported Donald Trump for many years.
