On Tuesday afternoon, Simone Biles and the United States Women’s Gymnastics Team won the gold medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics, proving a former Team USA member wrong. And Biles wasted no time in letting her know.

Earlier this month, former United States gymnast McKayla Skinner had some harsh criticism for Team USA, calling out the team for a lack of talent and a bad work ethic, saying the talent “isn’t what it used to be” and that “a lot of girls just don’t work as hard.”

“Besides Simone, I feel like the talent and the depth just isn’t what it used to be. I mean, obviously, a lot of girls don’t work as hard. The girls just don’t have the work ethic,” Skinner said earlier this month. “A lot of girls don’t work as hard.”

Obviously, Team USA proved that criticism incorrect by winning the gold medal. And shortly after the victory, Biles took to social media where she took a clear shot at her former teammate.

“Lack of talent, lazy, olympic champions,” Biles wrote in the caption of her Instagram post, an obvious response to Skinner’s criticism.

Needless to say, this message from Biles led to a lot of reactions on social media.

Clearly, Biles did not forget about the criticism.
