Thousands of onesies brandishing the Ottawa Senators are being recalled after choking hazard concerns.
Health Canada announced Monday the onesies, which are Chinese-made and sold late last year, would be recalled due to manufacturing concerns regarding a metal button on the garment which can fall off – presenting a choking hazard.
Per the Ottawa Citizen, roughly 5,100 onesies were sold. Those who purchased the product are urged to return it to distributor Reward Connections Inc or to get rid of it all together.
It’s been a rough couple years months weeks for the Senators, as owner Eugene Melnyk’s consistent cheapness, the assistant GM getting arrested for second-degree harassment or former captain and arguably the greatest Senator of all time Daniel Alfredsson admitting the team probably needs a new owner to be successful. Now, the Senators sold merch that was harmful to babies. Not a great a look.
Thankfully, the recall happened before any babies were hurt.
Health Canada being forced to recall Chinese-made Ottawa Senators’ onesies because of “choking” concerns is quite the series of events. Jeez, these jokes write themselves.
