It didn’t take Steven Stamkos too long this season to remind us all just how dominant he can be. The Lightning captain netted three goals on 12 shots in Tampa’s 7-1 trouncing of the Montreal Canadiens on Monday night, his eighth career hat trick and arguably the most impressive we’ve seen the forward since the nasty broken leg he suffered midway through last season.
Yup, the Stamkos we all know and love is back.
