The San Jose Sharks lost to the Edmonton Oilers last night, becoming the first Western Conference team to get beaten by the Oilers in their 27 games so far this season. If you thought that was embarrassing, get a load of the rap video they just put out for the holidays.
The video (above) features a bunch of Sharks players spittin’ some super corny raps about their holiday sweaters, making them early favorites for the worst team-produced YouTube video of the Christmas season. The Sharks aren’t the first team to make a hilariously goofy holiday music video, but they might have outdone the previous ones in terms of effort. And terribleness.
Amusing holiday videos are nothing new to the Sharks, either. They’ve put out some pretty hilarious videos over the past handful of years, including this one…and this one…but, most importantly, this one:
I would tell them to stick to hockey, but this is becoming one of my favorite December traditions at this point.
