Craig Smith had perhaps the most bizarre moment of the NHL season Monday night against the Canadiens.
The Predators center had a perfect opportunity to score the go-ahead goal, but even with the wide-open net he somehow managed to keep his own shot from going in. It doesn’t make much sense when put into words, so watch this:

It all worked out in the end for Smith and the Predators, though, as Nashville came out victorious 2-1 thanks to Smith’s game-winning shootout goal.
