The NHL announced an official partnership with GoPro at the beginning of this season, promising to bring hockey fans some exciting and unique point-of-view content from ice level. We’ve already gotten a taste of what we can expect from the partnership, but it was reported that several of the league’s stars were outfitted with GoPro’s cameras on their helmets and jerseys during the NHL/NHLPA Player Media Tour this offseason for a video to be released at some point during the season.
Now, with the NHL All-Star Game on the horizon this weekend, GoPro has released that video – which features the likes of Sidney Crosby, Jonathan Toews, Alex Ovechkin, Patrick Kane, P.K. Subban, Taylor Hall, Tyler Seguin T.J. Oshie, and more – and it’s very, very awesome.
Seeing what some these guys are able to do out on the ice from their perspective makes their level of skill even more impressive. I’m hoping we can get some more of this kind of footage from game action at some point in the near future.
Until then, I’m just gonna keep watching this absurd T.J. Oshie move on loop.
