Colorado Avalanche 18-year-old phenom Nathan MacKinnon put a quick shot past Minnesota Wild goaltender Darcy Kuemper three minutes and 27 seconds into overtime, to give the Avs a 4-3 victory, and a 3-2 series lead over the Wild in the Western Conference Quarterfinals.
MacKinnon, the first overall selection in the 2013 NHL Draft, now has two goals and 10 points in his first NHL playoff series (which still has at least one more game to go).
The Avalanche can close out the series with a victory in Minnesota on Monday night.
