Arguing about whether fighting belongs in hockey seems to be all the rage these days and, after top prospect Connor McDavid broke his hand during a scrap earlier this week, the fighting/anti-fighting argument is hotter than ever.
Thursday night’s NHL action saw yet another player suffer an injury during a fight, as 24-year old Bruins forward appeared to be shaken up after taking a huge overhand right from the Canadiens’ Nathan Beaulieu during a second period bout in Montreal. Fraser was knocked down by the violent blow and looked woozy upon rising to his feet.
Fraser eventually needed help getting off the ice and to the locker room, where he was evaluated by the team’s medical staff.
Update: Fraser returned to the game in the third period.
