The Minnesota Wild have won two games in a row for the first time this calendar year but the 5-3 victory over the Flames on Wednesday night wasn’t without a couple blunders, including one from defenseman Matt Dumba that surely left his teammates laughing.
The Wild, who fired coach Mike Yeo last weekend, are 2-0 under interim coach John Torchetti, whom they promoted from their AHL affiliate, the Iowa Wild. The second of those victories was in jeopardy after a shot off the face/head of Dumba pulled Calgary within one goal in the second period.
