Max Pacioretty is a very good hockey player on the Montreal Canadiens. Steven Stamkos is a very good hockey player on the Tampa Bay Lightning. On Monday night, Pacioretty had an unofficial assist on Stamkos’ 38th goal of the year, which is not very ideal for Montreal.
A big-time miscommunication during the first period led to Pacioretty delivering a drop pass straight to Stamkos, who was all alone in Montreal’s offensive zone. Stamkos collected the errant pass, went in alone on Carey Price and….well, you can probably guess how it ended.
Stamkos is not a guy you should giftwrap chances for. That is one dangerous man.
