Maple Leafs goalie Jonathan Bernier may have learned the hard way that it isn’t polite to spit inside. On Monday night the Toronto Maple Leafs took on the Tampa Bay Lightning in Florida, and Bernier spent some time on the bench as Garret Sparks got the start. At one point while Bernier was on the bench he thought it would be a good idea to spit on the ice. Unfortunately for Jonathan and for a member of the Tampa Bay ice crew, the spit ended up nailing an innocent bystandard.
The look on Bernier’s face is priceless after he saw what he did.
