The Los Angeles Kings took down the Winnipeg Jets in LA on Saturday night by a score of 4-2, but things could have taken a turn for the worse for LA had Jonathan Quick not made one of the most ridiculous saves of the year.
While laying prone on the ice, Quick pulled out this absurd one-legged scorpion denial on a puck tossed on net late in the third period at Staples Center. Was the puck going to go in had Quick not kicked the leg up? It’s hard to tell, but it doesn’t really change how crazy of a play this was by the Kings netminder. That’ll definitely be up there for save of the year.
