Jonathan Drouin – the extremely talented Canadian youngster who was taken third overall by the Lightning in last year’s NHL Draft – showed once again last night why he’s considered one of the top prospects in hockey.
The 18-year old Drouin – currently playing for the Halifax Mooseheads of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League – had a four point night (one goal, three assists) in the Mooseheads’ 7-1 trouncing of the Shawinigan Cataractes on Friday.
The forward’s most impressive highlight came when he was able to pick the pocket of a Cataractes player at the offensive blue line before showing off some sick dangles to create some space and set up a teammate streaking to the side of the net. Check it out in the video above; this kid is gonna be fun to watch for a very long time.
