John Tortorella might have been introduced as the Vancouver Canucks head coach in June, but everyone knew the union wouldn’t feel complete until he had has first spat with the local media. Well everybody, that day has finally come.

Around 12 seconds into the video you can faintly hear a phone going off as Torts discusses the upcoming preseason games. Upon hearing the sound he looks around, seeking out his victim, and lets everyone know exactly what will happen if cell phones go off during his press conferences.
In surprising fashion, Torts does a solid job of controlling himself. After stating that such an event is ‘going to be a major league fine’ and that ‘he’ll walk’, Torts went back to his discussion on preseason like nothing happened.
Congratulations Tortorella and Vancouver’s media, let this be the first of many sound bites to come.
