The Calgary Flames snapped a six-game losing streak when the prevailed and came out on top in a marathon shootout last night against the Jets in Winnipeg. During that shootout, a couple awesome displays of quick hands and smooth stick-handling led to goals for either side.
First, the Flames’ Joe Colborne flashed his quick stick with this display:
Then, Winnipeg’s Blake Wheeler one-upped Colborne with this:
Just look at how lost Calgary’s netminder is:
Rookie Sean Monahan wound up scoring his first career SO goal a few rounds later, giving the Flames the game-winner.
