After being shipped to Buffalo as part of the St. Louis Blues’ deal for Ryan Miller late last week, Jaroslav Halak spent five whole days as a member of the Sabres organization before being traded to the Washington Capitals at yesterday’s deadline.
Halak, who went to Buffalo along with Chris Stewart, William Carrier and first-round draft pick in exchange for Miller and Steve Ott, never played a game for the Sabres – though he did suit up as a backup for Monday’s game against the Stars.
However, that didn’t stop someone from creating a tribute video for Halak to commemorate his time with the Sabres. The hilarious tribute is less than 45 seconds long and includes only one still photo that actually proves he was a member of the team.
The soundtrack to Buffalo’s tribute asks Halak, “Will you remember me?” If he’s lucky, that answer is no.
