Friday night marked the end of the 2013-2014 NHL season and, as a result, the end of an era for the CBC and Hockey Night In Canada.
The CBC’s broadcast deal with the NHL is set to expire after this season, with Rogers taking control of the NHL’s media rights in Canada moving forward.
To cap off Hockey Night In Canada’s six-decade run on the CBC, the network aired an awesome montage (fittingly set to Queen’s “The Show Must Go On”) on Friday night that included highlights from this season as well as classic memories from the past. It was fantastic.
