The NHL returned to action on Tuesday night following the Olympic hiatus with the Carolina Hurricanes visiting the Buffalo Sabres to make up for a snowed out game earlier in this season. Not the ideal matchup to ring in the second half of the season but, hey, I guess we’ll take it.
‘Canes captain Eric Staal managed to net a game-tying goal late in the second period of the matchup, must to the displeasure of one female fan seated behind the Sabres net. She made sure she let her feelings be known with the flip of a finger and, to her credit, she showed quite the commitment by letting that bird fly for a handful of seconds.
