Don Cherry coached the Boston Bruins for five seasons in the 1970s and, clearly, the CBC analyst clearly still holds a certain appreciation for the organization.
Despite the fact that the Bruins already wrapped up their series with the Red Wings with a victory on Saturday afternoon, Cherry decided to pair a gold blazer and a black tie emblazoned with the Bruins logo on it for Monday night’s “Hockey Night In Canada” broadcast.
I’d say it’s pretty evident who Grapes will be rooting for when the Bruins take on the Canadiens next round. He must have graduated from the same school of unbiased broadcasting as Shannon Sharpe.
