Max Domi is considered one of the top prospects in hockey and, on Friday night, he gave us another spectacular highlight to remind us why. The Phoenix Coyotes prospect – drafted with the 12th overall pick in last year’s draft – scored an absolute beauty while playing for the London Knights in OHL action, and it may be one of the better goals you’ll see in any league this season.
The 19-year old Knights forward – son of former NHLer Tie – found himself on the receiving end of a pass that sprung him on a breakaway, but he had the Sarnia Sting goaltender bearing down on him well outside the crease. Instead of trying to deke around the netminder, Domi instead decided to go up and over him – playing the puck to himself and then batting it out of mid-air and into the net. Amazing stuff.
