Team USA opened up their Olympic tournament against Slovakia in Sochi on Thursday morning and, boy, did they come out guns blazing. Going up against a mediocre defensive unit, the Americans’ offense had a great start in their 7-1 victory. Check out each tally:
John Carlson (Assist: Phil Kessel, James van Riemsdyk)

Ryan Kesler (Assist: Patrick Kane)
Paul Stastny (Assist: Max Pacioretty, T.J. Oshie)
David Backes (Assist: Phil Kessel)
Paul Stastny (Assist: Kevin Shattenkirk, T.J. Oshie)
Phil Kessel (Assist: Ryan Kesler, James van Riemsdyk)
Dustin Brown (Assist: John Carlson, Patrick Kane)
Also, the one goal Team USA gave up shouldn’t have even counted because it was clearly offside. Oh well.
