Aside from the nice Shawn Thornton tribute in his first return to Boston as a visiting opponent, Tuesday’s Bruins-Panthers game in Boston was pretty uneventful in regulation.
Overtime, however, was a different story. After a few frustrating misses earlier in OT, Brad Marchand finally netted this very nice game-winning goal in the final few minutes of the extra frame. Marchand entered an offensive zone that had three Panthers defenders waiting for him, but he managed to dangle his way to space before ultimately sniping the winner past Roberto Luongo.
