Columbus Blue Jackets forward Corey Tropp had a rough night at the office on Thursday night thanks to a third period slap shot that ended up catching him square in the face. The shot was fired from the point off the stick of Tropp’s teammate, Fedor Tyutin, and appeared to strike Tropp right above the mouth, opening up a cut that drew blood.
He immediately headed off the ice and to the locker room for repairs.
