The Colorado Avalanche had a tough start to the season, getting shut out in their first two games heading into Monday’s game against the Bruins in Boston. The third time proved to be a charm for the Avs, who finally managed to put a couple of goals past Bruins backup goaltender Niklas Svedberg.
Colorado’s second goal came off the stick of Danny Briere and gave them a lead in the very last second of the third period, a rare literal buzzer-beater for the Avs’ first victory this season.
