The Hurricanes trailed the Rangers by a goal late during Sunday’s game in New York, which meant that Anton Khudobin was pulled in the final few minutes to get an extra skater on the ice. The ‘Canes goalie had some serious trouble when it came time to hop over the boards and get into the bench though, creating for a hilarious blooper that even he had to laugh about afterwards.
Khudobin eventually got some help from a few teammates, including goaltender Cam Ward, who especially seemed to enjoy his backup’s struggles. Ward might want to show him the ropes in practice this week.
