Last week, Texas Longhorns superstar wide receiver had an impressive showing at the NFL Scouting Combine where he clocked a 4.21-second 40-yard dash – the fastest ever recorded at the combine. And after showing what he can do, it sounds like he now wants the Kansas City Chiefs to go get him in the NFL Draft.
Given the speed that he showcased at the NFL Combine, Xavier Worthy made it clear that he wants the Kansas City Chiefs to draft him and use him like they used Tyreek Hill before trading him to the Miami Dolphins.
“In a perfect world, I definitely would want to go to the Chiefs,” Worthy told USA Today. “Just the way Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs improvise and use you. They had Tyreek Hill. The way they used him, I feel like that would be a perfect fit for me.”
Obviously, Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes put up big numbers with Hill on the roster, and Worthy seems to have a similar skillset to Hill given his breakaway speed. Plus, the Chiefs are very much in need of wide receivers.
We’ll have to see what happens, but it seems like that would be a good fit for both Worthy and the Chiefs.
