Despite being the NFL’s only remaining undefeated team at 8-0, the Kansas City Chiefs aren’t satisfied.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter (via Katherine Terrell), the Chiefs could become involved in discussions with the New Orleans Saints regarding Pro Bowl cornerback Marshon Lattimore ahead of Tuesday’s NFL trade deadline. Per Schefter, the Saints have already received multiple calls on Lattimore, who has appeared in seven games this season, tallying 30 tackles and two pass defenses.

New Orleans originally selected Lattimore in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft, with the former Ohio State star having since solidified himself as one of the league’s top cornerbacks. In addition to being named the 2017 NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year, the 28-year-old has been selected to the Pro Bowl four times over the course of his first seven seasons of his NFL career.

But with the Saints headed for an apparent rebuild following a 2-7 start to the season, it makes sense that New Orleans would be willing to listen to offers for Lattimore, who is currently in the third season of a five-year, $97.6 million contract. As for the Chiefs, Kansas City could stand to add a difference-maker in its secondary following Jaylen Watson’s season-ending ankle injury as it tries to become the first team to ever win three consecutive Super Bowls.

Following the news of the Chiefs’ apparent interest in Lattimore, many took to social media to respond.
